Quarantined Virtual Retreat
As I sit here feeling really chuffed with myself for sewing together my “Quarantined” quilt, I am thankful for you all joining me in marking history. This quilt says something to each of us and will continue to do so for a very long time. For me, it means a family project. We chose the fabrics as a family and now that I have it sewn, we will layer and pin it… Then, as a family, we will tie rather than quilt it… something we can all do together.
I am so excited to share the next clues so you can finish it up as well. I love all your colours and stories behind your quarantines… both in life and in quilts. Thank you for sharing with me.
I also thought of doing a virtual “quilt retreat”. Since we are quarantined, isolated, or distancing… we could meet in cyberspace for a couple hours each day, couple of days, or each week to sew together. I need to work out the details, but the more I think about it, the more I love it!! I will design a small (crib or throw) quilt we can all work on at the same time and we can toss ideas and tips around as we go… what do YOU think??? I am already designing………….
