Playing Favourites…
I don’t know about you, but I have a few things in my “tool” box that I wouldn’t trade for the world. I found today I truly don’t like the mat I currently have… I find the fabric sticks after a few months. I use my mat everyday and I am not really satisfied with this one. I have another one that I am going to try tomorrow I will trade them out. I will tell you brands later WHEN I find the better mat… at least in my opinion…
I love my 60mm rotary cutter though and will never go with a different one. I have tried a few different ones, different brands, different mm blades and I am set on the 60mm Olfa. I would love to know your favourites!
I asked you a few months ago what your favourite seam ripper was and overwhelmingly, you love the clover brand one piece seam ripper… I bought it, tired of going through seam rippers like they were cups of tea, and I LOVE IT!!!
Time to sew… see you tomorrow! ~Debi
I’m using the Quilter Select mat now. I love it. I don’t have any problems with it. But when I travel (LOL ) I use OLFA Blue with yellow lines on it. It works for me in that situation. I hope your mat situation works out for you.
Have a great day! Take care of yourself!
I have a June Tailor Shape Cut Pro ruler, which I can’t live without. I am not good at cutting long strips. This has been a great investment for me, especially in our mystery quilts!
The one and only rotary cutting mat that I have ever owned and that has served me very well for many years is a June Taylor brand, It has “copyright 1995” printed on it. It is made of gray plastic and has white lines and numbers. At the time I began quilting, this mat was inexpensive. It is thin, but sturdy, has a handle pressed into it. When not in use, I store it vertically on edge behind a bookcase, and it does not warp.
Hi there, I missed that post. Which clover seam ripper is the best? Thank you.
Following on the mats- thx
I have the Clover red one. I don’t know if I got back to you. I will be posting it soon. I am sorry I am so slack. Trying to get those links to work is giving me fits!
