Finally Time!

Today I did all the little work… the stitching that comes before the big finish. I worked on HSTs, flying geese units, and some tri-recs units. I had enough time in my sewing room to get these all assembled and trimmed to square. I also got one block finished to make sure my math brain was working. Tomorrow will definitely be more fun now that these units are by the machine just waiting to be assembled!

I also changed the blade in my rotary cutter. I always wait too long before changing it. I just kept saying, “One more HST, then I will change it.” Why oh why do I wait?!?!? I get so frustrated when I have to cut each one twice. I was so much more accurate and fast once I changed. I let it go every time, asking myself the same thing!

We have had grandchildren home this week, something is going around and they’ve been pretty sick. I am fortunate to have gotten a mild case… only lasting about 12 hours. Today’s stitching time was AMAZING! No interruptions other than the washing machine beeping to tell me to keep up with the chores! I have been motoring in first gear this week. I can’t wait to finish this and start a new project. I am working on one right now, this is odd as I usually work on three or more at a time.
