A Bit Curious

I am needing a bit of “logistical” guidance with December. I know I am ready for our next mystery, but I am not sure you all are. I have several here to choose from, so that part is easy. BUT, I would love to know what your schedule for December looks like so I can organise what we do here on the website.

Would you like to carry on as normal, starting a new mystery on 1 December 2023? Would you like to take December off? We will do our monthly mystery regardless, that’s only one clue and we have a month to complete it. Should we drop to every second week for December? Start an easy quick project?

Please let me know in the comments how you would like December to look like from a Mystery Quilts Anonymous point of view. Have an amazing weekend…it’s Friday somewhere! ~Debi

Debi, I would love a breather. Several mysteries upcoming. Darling photos of your babies! You could probably benefit from a break, too.

That’s a great idea as well.

  5. I am a relatively new piecer. I’m still working on the September Debi Montgomery event Live at Kramers. I thought I could do the Christmas one – but I’m just now ready to start cutting and today was the reveal. I hope to do the New Year Eve/Day mystery quilt along. Obviously, my calendar is already overloaded. I’m ready to give up and just do the Spin Out on New Year Eves/Day. My fabric stash is large but has the wrong yardages, too much novelty, and not enough blenders to participate in most of these. At some point in time, Elaine is helping, I will figure out how to use what I have on hand. I’m working on building just some blenders but it is hard to find light and dark value in similar family or opposites. I need to toss a color wheel in my Debi box. I am enjoying following along but too stressed to quilt along. The pace is too fast for me period. Thank you.

Also remember it’s not a race. These patterns will be on the website for a very long time. You aren’t required to do or pay anything for them. Make only the ones you wish and take your time. ♥️

New member. December is always a very busy month. So for me, it would be better to take the month off or give 2 weeks between clues.

  7. My opinion< take the month off. Lots going on and not a lot of sewing time.

Like most of the above thoughts, my schedule is hectic and need to focus on finishing several projects for gifts. Take a break and start the New Year rested and ready for new challenges. I love your designs.

Thank you so much. I love that you’re here and sewing with me along the way, when you have the time.

I would think you also need a little time off for some creative energy ideas for next year
I’m planning to finish up all my little quilts for the cancer ward at the hospital and then finish my Debbie Christmas quilt for me.
Thank you for so much fun and creativity. Enjoy your holidays and take us on another adventure next year.

    Hi ,
I’m falling behind on everything and I want to make sure I’m ready for the January 1 quilt, so a breather to get ready for that would be great
