Two “Colour” Quilt

I have been playing for a few weeks with the thought of a two colour quilt. I’ve played with design and fabrics, rotating blocks, checking with my resident rocket scientist to make sure everything is great with the design and symmetry, and I think I am finally there. I designed it as a square, but this design is so “fluid”, a rectangle will still bring out that amazing design! I am ready to begin pulling scraps.

YES!! You heard that correctly, I said scraps. I designed this with a scrappy retro palette. I am loving how it looks. I love how I can tweak it by maybe adding a third “colour” here or there. I am truly excited to get busy. I am making this one large because I have HEAPS of scraps and because I have heaps of large beds in this house! I designed with blue and tan, but I will just start pulling fabrics and see where we go.

Who wants to pull scraps and sew with me?? I am going to upload the fabric requirements. Please note these have not been tested and I am being VERY generous because we are trying to measure scraps. The design has curves, we will need some larger scraps for these. If you’d like to do an alternate block here, I will offer a couple different options, but know your fabric requirements may need bulked up or you may not need as much as I say you do. I am very generous with curves as not everyone cuts like I do.

I normally add a pic of my fabrics, but we are pulling and sewing together!! Can’t wait to see your fabrics… I’ll upload mine once I have a nice pile of choices. Have an amazing week! ~Debi
