If I change the background to a dark, does that mean the dark becomes my background? It’s just a swap?

Yes, but please remember if you swap that to dark, you must swap the dark to a lighter fabric to get the much needed contrast for secondary designs to show through. And be consistent with the dark background.

          My pleasure ♥️

  2. I’m a little lost, and hoping you can point me in the right direction. I am working on Block A, and am finding that I am missing some of the pieces that are required to make four of the blocks. I am missing four of the medium 1/background flying geese you show in the picture of the block being laid out, but have four extra of dark/background flying geese. I am also short two each of the units made by the HSTs, as well as short 6 background 3” blocks for the top of the blocks. Did I perhaps misread somewhere?

Let’s see, you’ll use the 6-1/4” Background squares with your 3-3/8” medium 1 squares for the bottom flying geese. You’ll use the dark 6-1/4” and background 3-3/8” squares for the top flying geese. You will make HST with the remaining 3-3/8” background/dark and dark/medium 1 squares.

The centres are 5-1/2” medium 2 with the dark 3” squares to form the house with bonus triangles. You should have 3” background and medium 2 squares to complete the blocks up.

If this doesn’t help, please email so maybe I can explain better… debiloves2quilt@gmail.com or go through the “contact” tab on the top bar of each webpage. Happy to help.
